All I keep hearing about is how the fashion trend for 2010 is going to be motorcycle everything. Motorcycle jeans, motorcycle jackets, motorcycle boots, motorcycle-infused Acai beverages.
Though I dig the trend, I just try to imagine myself as a biker chick, driving around LA/NYC, shaking my head in disgust as I watch hoards of 14 year-old fashionistas parading down the street wearing shit that probably weighs more than they do. I’d pull over and say, “Hey little girl, you look like a bas ass biker. Here, why don’t you take my bike for a spin. Oh wait, I forget, I took the training wheels off yesterday! HA HA HA!” Then I’d jump on my bike and drive away bellowing a maniacal laugh and feeling all smug-like.
Unfortunately, in reality, I’d probably be the asshole walking down the street.
(Lauren, just because your Dad owned a motorcycle doesn’t make you biker chick).
Let’s take a look at some of these items for 2010.
The Motorcycle Jean
Whoa, I see an epic camel toe coming on…
The Motorcycle Jacket
E! told me that the black motorcycle jacket is out, and the white motorcycle jacket is in.
And E! knows everything. EVERYTHING!
(pictured nabbed from Omiru)
The Motorcycle Boot
I can’t think of anything interesting to say. I really really like these.
What are your thoughts on this trend?

White motorcycle jackets make baby jesus cry, especially when assigned as a hot item to wear by E!.
A continuing trend of camel toe! We're all bored of the legging camel toe and pantie lines. Ugh, so 2009.
Motorcycle Camel Toe 2010 Bring It On! Don't forget to not wash for the most accurate representation.
I'm actually a fan of the boot.
Anything that excuses me from wearing heels, I'm a fan of.
In order to get a "true" grasp of how scary the Biker trend is in full force…try living near Laconia, NH during Bike Week.
(and sadly I am an hour away and I see the gaggles of bikers in their gear on the go)
Nothing like the fashion-forward loving of Hells Angels, pasties and leather.

As long as it doesn't require them to actually ride, I'm confident that they will be able to pull it off.
I have boots just like that! 🙂 Not so sure about the white jacket though…
I can't wait to mock the 14-year-olds. You've inspired me.
I'm off to a YMCA party in a couple of weeks so this will help me perfect my look as the biker!
When are the males who read you going to get some fashion wisdom? Go on, you know you want to…
I do like some of the motorcycle look but not really my style. Hoping others of you out there are rocking it though.
Screw the jackets. I don't care what E! says.
But the boots and jeans.. yes, I dig. ;]
Whenever I see the fashionable versions of things like motorcycle jackets (or bomber jackets or daishikis or anything thats ever been slightly fasionable), they look nothing like the originals. I feel like each year's surprising fashion trend is only subtly different from the last, no matter what it's said to resemble.
With that said,
1)I'd definitely look at a girl in those boots
2)I definitely want to try motorcycle-infused Acai beverage, preferably with a little bit of tractor trailer-infused pomegranate thrown into the mix.
I love black motorcycle jackets, but white? Mehhhh.
I have some boots similar to those. I bought them a year ago. Somehow, this makes me cool.
But yeah I love the boots.
I don't really do trends, though occasionally the clothes I gravitate towards happen to fit a trend.
Like everything else, the motorcycle look works for some people.
Not me.
My hair stylist is a biker chick, and she is very cool in all black. White jacket? She would laugh her ass off. I hate the phrase "age appropriate" but I am 61 and too clumsy to really ride. I would love to have those boots, though,to go with my quilted black leather non-biker jacket.
Oh, and thanks, Lauren, for following me. Your comment made my day.
Well, as the focus is leather, at least we won't see very many vegans sporting this.
Unless there's a pleather version. Then we're screwed.
love love love the boots!
Also love the boots, the jeans are a health hazard walking – very scary looking things, and the jackets, while kinda cute I'm pretty sure cute is not a word used commonly in the same sentence with biker chicks.
Oh, and the short sleeved one, just imagine the mess that would make of her arms if she actually rode and fell off a bike?
i love the jacket and the look but i don't think i can pull it off! hehe. but the white jacket is LOVE ;p

I say stick to the classics… and anyone sporting the look better actually RIDE a bike. Vroooooom-fucka-f*cka-Vrooooom!
I'm not so trendy. Although, the boots definitely have a special something attracting me. Oh must I really admit this? I love cowboy boots. There it's out.
those jeans make my vag hurt just at the sight of them. i'm JUST saying…
I own the boots! And LOVE them. And for the record, I feel incredibly badass while wearing them.
The boots are cool!
Perhaps 2010 will be the year of the camel toe?

I like the boots, but probably a little taller. I suffer from skinny calve-ankle-itis and can't wear things that draw attention to that. Because people will laugh and point. : )
I just started following. You have me in stitches at 8am. Thanks for your 'Epic Camel Toe' comment. I won't soon forget.
I like it, but won't subscribe to it, only because well… trends are exactly that… trendy… which means they're gone once you've spent the money.
I like the boots, but I like to be girly, and not pretend to be a bad ass. I hope this doesnt catch on.
Yes to all but the jeans. The jeans are gross.
Those jeans are pure evil. When will we learn that Camel Toe is not a fashion trend? You can hear the chaffing from here.
Yesterday, to honour this trend, I bought some black pleather chaps.
I have since been banned from Tesco AND asda.
White leathers? They won't stay white for very long, so watch what you invest in them.
