I don’t want to write this post, but I feel like I should in order to move on.
The feral cat we took in, Sherman, a.k.a. Batman, passed away eleven hours ago.
In the short time we had him, he filled our hearts with so much love.
Ugh.
I can’t write anything right now.
Maybe another time.
This was his last photo.

That’s so sad. I’m sorry for you both. You took such good care of him. Every pet has a unique personality, even as babies. He was lucky to have you.
Oh Lauren, I am so sorry! So incredibly sorry. He was very lucky to have you as a mommy!
Oh honey, I am so sorry for you and Geoff. I will light a candle and say a prayer for sweet Sherman. Lots of love to you my friend.
Thank the Goddess that you and your hunbun were there to show him what LoVe and Caring is all about. He knew Happiness.
I’m so sorry. There was nothing you could do, but thankfully he had such love and caring in his short life.
I’m so sorry for your loss! We lost our kitty this year and it was so painful. My heart goes out to you.
Oh, I am so so so sorry. He seemed like such a sweet little guy, and he was really lucky to have you. Wishing you peace.
Oh that is so sad! I am so sorry – what happened?? I have a good friend that is very active with Austin Pets Alive and I know they have lost kittens before. I guess they don’t always make it. So sorry 🙁
I’ll just say it again – world’s less precious now for it. I’m so sorry. Found out again recently just how much they fill up our lives.
I feel terrible for you. I found myself in the same position last week, trying to address it on my blog for closure, and for the friends and family who were waiting for it. I cried over my laptop and couldn’t bring myself to write more than a few words.
I guess your time with Sherman was meant to be short and sweet. You guys gave him a better life, even though it wasn’t enough time.
